Here are the notes which I was able to produce during the session. I came away from this talk feeling really inspired and excited for my future after university. I have been asking my family if taking this route in my photographic career, they seem to be really into the idea that this may be the best career choice for me to take after university. However, I'm conflicted whether to knuckle down in a job to allow me to gain experience and a break from education whether it be a year or two. But a studentship may be the direction I wish to take in the future.
I found the topics of his work to be extremely entertaining and really enjoyable. Especially the piece that was based on the comedians and DJ's that he made perform in an empty room to a camera. I found this concept really interesting as he said that a lot of the comedians fell apart due to the lack of social interactions and not being able to feed off their energy. He said that a female comedian broke down crying which was a shock to him. He believes that this was due to the fact that they had time to reflect on their acts and themselves due to the lack of feedback from the audience.
