I wanted to include a online competition submission as one of my live project as I find these tasks interesting and I will make sure to continue with these tasks once I finish university as it will keep me in a similar frame of mind as I am in now as I will have a brief, a set task and a deadline to meet. The project that I chose to submit images to was a competition names 'Bottles' on the competition site 'Photocrowd'. I always seem to revert back to this site when in need of a competition brief. The brief for this particular projects stated 'I would like to see your photos of bottles. The bottles can be any type, size, shape or number, and shown in still life or in a scene with people. The topic is left open to your interpretation. Therefore, I already had purchased bottles for a projects that I was creating for my negotiated practice module, so I thought that this project would fit in with the theme of the year that I have been going through creatively.
Here is the contact sheet that I created for this competition.
I only wanted to do a small shoot as I didn't want the images to look too similar for the images that I had taken for the negotiated practice. Therefore, I though that I would incorporate different elements such as the different sized wire to create that sense of depth.
Included below is the edited version of an image that used from this shoot and submitted to be included in the competition to be marked.
